Our favourite brunch spots in London

Everyone loves a good brunch and the below restaurants are some tried and tested spots by our team. Together we have chosen our favourite places.

Granger, Notting Hill

Delicious and healthy choices available at this airy relaxed restaurant in Notting Hill. Run by Bill Granger, an Australian who has opened restaurants all over the world, the atmosphere reflects his sunny easy-going personality. Turn up early as you cannot reserve and you’ll be sure to find a substantial queue at the weekend.

Favourite dish: The full Aussie – scrambled eggs, sourdough toast, bacon, cumin roast tomato, miso chestnut mushrooms, chipolatas.

The Elk in the Woods, Angel

Located in the lovely Camden Passage the Elk in the Woods is by far the place you want to visit on a cold blustery morning. The dark heavy wood and friendly service are a perfect match.

Favourite dish: Elk style poached plums and pears, with homemade granola and natural yoghurt.

The Delaunay, Covent Garden

Breakfast at The Delaunay is a special affair. The grand brasserie dining room is located on the corner of Aldwych and Drury Lane and is famous for its delicious and delectable pastries. If you are looking for a greasy fry up this is not the place.

Favourite dish:  French toast with cream cheese and blueberry compote.

The Orange, Sloane Square

Normally known for its pub food, the Orange also offers a delicious breakfast menu. If you are after a cosy British pub then this is the place. Take your newspaper and sit for hours in this relaxed spot.

Favourite dish: Eggs benedict.

Blue Legume, Islington

Blue Legume, a chain of restaurants in London, serves a wide variety of healthy foods and juices. Our favourite is the Islington branch which offers a cafe style restaurant with a fun quirky edge.

Favourite dish: Hashbrown breakfast.
