Regional Development Land; building on the foundations

In our latest regional development land report we investigate how the key land markets have been performing around the UK in Q2 2015.

2015 has seen a decrease in the pace of national house price growth, continuing the gradual downward trend we have experienced since mid-2014.

This cooling down is, in part, due to a 14% decline in transactions in Q1 across England and Wales. This partly reflects the new MMR regulation that has resulted in fewer people securing a mortgage.

However this slowdown is unlikely to continue; the Chartered Surveyors suggest the cooling will come to an end in Q3 of this year, however we expect it to end sooner with growth plateauing over the next few months.
