Transport links in Holborn
The London School of Economics, as already mentioned, is just a five minute walk from the Holborn Underground station making this a popular location with students looking for student accommodation near LSE. King’s College London to the south of Holborn, close to the North Bank of the River Thames is a three minute walk from Temple station which lies on the Circle and District lines.
SOAS, University of London is next to Russell Square station which is one minute and one stop to the north from Holborn station on the Piccadilly line. UCL is also easily accessible from Holborn with students able to travel via Underground to Russell Square or Euston Station before taking a short walk to the main campus.

The nearest mainline railway station is City Thameslink in the City of London, with London Euston to the north of the Holborn area.

Shopping in Holborn
One stop to the east on the Central line from Holborn is Hatton Garden, which is widely regarded as London’s jewellery quarter and is the home of the UK’s diamond trade. As such there are a number of high end and exclusive jewellers selling unique pieces, including the famous De Beers group.

The Royal Courts of Justice are frequently seen on the national news here in the UK and houses both the High Court and Court of Appeal. The Hospital is one of London’s leading teaching hospitals and is associated with a number of London’s Universities.
Great Ormond Street and UCL Hospital are to the North of Holborn and again, both are comfortably accessible by public transport if you are put on a placement or ward rotation in either of these fine hospitals.
