Hot 100 2018 - Demographic trends

London has an ever-growing population of 8.9 million residents. However, this puts a strain on housing. Barnet currently has the largest population with 384,375 residents and has nearly 54,000 additional residents forecast over the next decade. However, City of London has the strongest forecast population growth at 22%.

An increasing population will simultaneously influence the total number of households. The borough set to have the highest forecast household growth is Tower Hamlets with a 24% increase. As our previous top ten shows it also comes in at the top for the number of units currently under construction and has the third highest number of planning permissions.
