After a wet and windy cycle into the office, it’s straight into our weekly sales meeting at 8:30am. We recap on what has been achieved in the previous week and discuss where our focus should lie for the days ahead, as well as giving a Welsh colleague of mine the opportunity to gloat about England crashing out of the World Cup!

I spend the majority of the morning on the phone speaking to interested buyers about one of our top developments in Fulham. We visited the newly opened concierge and landscaped gardens last week, so I am certain that the opportunity for buyers to see the newly completed stock in all its glory will help generate lots of offers and sales.


My day starts with a tour of completed residential schemes in and around Marylebone, Fitzrovia and Covent Garden. My potential buyer is a shipping magnate looking to invest in prime central London for his daughter, who will be moving to London after she finishes her studies. With so much on offer at the moment he is spoilt for choice, and narrows it down to two penthouse apartments, one in Fitzrovia and one in Covent Garden –I hope he picks quickly before someone else snaps them up!

Back in the office I chase up a sale that was put together a few weeks ago for a tower development on the South Bank. After a few calls with the solicitors, the sale is executed leaving another satisfied client. I arrange to meet the buyer for a coffee on the South Bank in order to go through everything with the deal; walking over Blackfriars Bridge in the autumn sun I can’t help but think what a great riverside location he’s bought in, and how fantastic London is!


I receive a call from a previous buyer of mine. Having invested in the Docklands 10 years ago, he’s seen the amazing growth and transformation in the area, and feels that there is real investment value in South East London. He is now looking to invest in something else in the area, particularly to capitalise on Crossrail which arrives in 2018. He loves the idea of getting to Heathrow in half an hour, but also a really quick commute into the West End. Having discussed his options in great length, across a number of exciting developments we’re selling in the area, an offer is put forward for a fantastic apartment with floor to ceiling windows which will look out over the river, widening his transport options to riverboat as well!

In the afternoon, our sales team are invited to preview two 7,000 square foot homes in St James. They are arranged over eight floors, and have even been previously viewed by the likes of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt! Having spent the past two years being refurbished, the end result is breath-taking and we all spend a while admiring the picturesque views over the park. Anyone looking for a home with real star quality would easily fall in love with it, and our marketing manager can’t help taking a film of her own to share on our twitter feed.  


After staying in London for two nights my shipping buyer has decided that Fitzrovia is the place to invest; perfect timing as a new instruction came to the market yesterday so I book him in to see it immediately. When the market is moving quickly, it’s important to push ahead with the property search asap. The apartment we view benefits from an incredible subterranean spa room, including an area which would be perfect for yoga. His daughter posts yoga selfies on Instagram regularly, so it’s ideal for her!

Thursday evenings are often spent launching new and exciting developments, and this week is no different. We launch a superb scheme in Streatham, and are overjoyed at the evening’s success with over 150 attending the launch and many sales made directly in the room that very evening! It’s a long and busy evening but well worth it. Streatham is a very exciting area with so much vibrancy and diversity; it’s a great project to be working on.


On Friday morning the team heads down to Nine Elms. Everyone is so impressed with what they see and excited for the continued regeneration of that area, where we have a number of superb developments to sell. It’s amazing to see the transformation of a whole new area of London, and if it mirrors the success of the Docklands, buyers will benefit as much as my east London buyer from earlier in the week.

After a busy week showcasing the best of London’s new developments, it’s time to move our meeting elsewhere -what week would be complete without a team trip to the local pub to toast our successes and wind down for a well deserved weekend.
