An exciting new development in Soho causes a stir and the forthcoming 24-hour Three Peaks charity challenge becomes the talk of the office...
Monday morning has already got off to a strong start after cycling into work with the sun out and the smell of spring (and car fumes) in the air, winter is officially behind us. As I get into the office there is a buzz amongst the team as we are arranging the finer details of our upcoming 24 hour Three Peaks charity challenge, however work must get started as I have a busy week ahead. Monday’s usually start with a team meeting discussing upcoming launches and exciting new instructions which we need to preview. Last week we agreed a number of high end properties in the West End which we catch up on and discuss progress.
First thing on Tuesday morning I have a second viewing of my favourite property, a duplex penthouse in Covent Garden, this time with the buyer’s wife. I am hoping she is impressed as it really is a stunning apartment. I think she likes it but keeps her cards close to her chest. Back to the office where news comes in of a seriously exciting new development which is off market and launching in a few weeks, we start to call our hottest clients to inform and invite to what will be a development not seen in such a part of town before.
After recently selling a client’s Fitzrovia apartment, my attention now turns to helping him find his next London property. He has his eye on a beautiful boutique scheme in buzzy Soho. We are close to agreeing an offer, but he needs one final look before making the commitment. I take him to the apartment in the hope he is still in love with the space – and luckily it is a success! He gives me the green light and I head back to the office to get it reserved; a great way to close up a Wednesday.
Another beautiful spring day in London and I’m starting my day with a spring in my step after yesterday’s reservation. I’m meeting an Indian contact of mine over a much needed coffee in one of Covent Garden’s great independent coffee shops on Monmouth Street. He has an extensive client base of buyers searching for specific off plan opportunities. We discuss all relevant options and pinpoint a development in Shoreditch that we are currently marketing. This new development seems the best place for his active buyers. It’s been a busy day, but it doesn't stop there. In the evening I head to a launch of a collection of stunning apartments in Fitzrovia. I show a number of people around the apartments and the feedback is excellent. The developer really has thought of every little detail for these flats and the attendees are definitely impressed. One particular couple who live in the area have had their eye on the development from the very beginning; after showing them round I get the feeling that they are interested, but as ever they retain their poker faces.
Friday morning I have a tour of a range of both new and resale apartments around Bloomsbury, Lincolns Inn and Chancery Lane quarter. The young lady I am viewing with is spoilt for choice and struggling to decide which is at the top of her list which is promising. She needs the weekend to digest and tell me which is the front runner; fingers crossed for Monday. I finish off the week with a preview of a 6500 sq ft duplex apartment hidden in Soho. The apartment is like nothing I have ever seen in the area. You could have a game of five aside football in the living room.
