Drones take flight

A number of emerging technologies are increasingly being used on construction sites, creating an increase in productivity as a result. According to a 2016 report by KMPG, 42% of construction professionals now use drones to monitor the construction status. Drones are used to perform surveys, scans and inspections, saving on the cost of having a trained engineer on site. It also reduces the need for safety equipment and risk assessments since drones can work in dangerous areas.
