London's growing market, the rental revival
Our latest research, the rental revival report, reveals that the number of private renters in London has risen by 75% since 2005.
This huge level of growth is due to an increase in population, lack of affordable housing for first time buyers and a new generation attracted to the freedom of renting. Renters in London are now willing to pay a premium of 40% for new build apartments compared to resale homes as they now seek out a higher quality specification and choice of amenities. We look at the boroughs with the highest rents and which areas are becoming increasingly popular for renters.
