HMRC Transactions Rise Again in September
UK residential transactions totalled 91,820 in September 2024 (seasonally adjusted) according to provisional estimates from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC).

UK residential transactions totalled 91,820 in September 2024 (seasonally adjusted) according to provisional estimates from HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC). This was up 9% from the same time last year, and a 1% increase from August.The RICS monthly survey reported a positive 3-month outlook for sales expectations as mortgage rates continue to fall and affordability is improving. Furthermore, given the recent rise in mortgage approvals we expect sales volumes to trend higher in the coming months.
